On a related note, can anyone recommend good baby shoes that don't come off? He kicks off both his socks and shoes constantly!
And no, he is still not sleeping at night longer than 1-2 hours at a time. We tried co-sleeping instead of CIO, and that didn't really work either because he cries just as long and loudly when we are right there beside him as he does when he is in his crib. I have honestly no idea why he is crying anymore. He is not hungry or cold or hot or lonely (because we are right there). But he is definitely MAD.
We are a "go" to try rice cereal, so I bought some today. We'll probably wait until tomorrow to try it, since he is still recovering from his shots today. We'll take some pictures of it!

i don't think you mean his head is 40 inches, right? 40 inches is very large. i think you mean centimeters. :)
what kind of rice cereal did you buy? was one recommended to you? i just bought brown rice and figured i would grind it up and try to make my own. is that a bad idea?
LOL you are right! I have no idea what they measure it in but not inches! :-D
I just went to Target and got Happy Bellies organic brown rice cereal. I have no idea what I am doing. I admit that some of the reason I picked that one over "Earth's Best" (which is a brand I like for other things) is because Happy Bellies was endorsed by Dr. Sears. I realize I just based my decision on marketing. But I figure I might have to try multiple brands anyway since he might dislike one, and might as well start somewhere...wish they sold smaller boxes to try out!!
We need sample packets! Maybe I'll research that.
I went with Gerber with DHA, Ian loved those. Ian also has a small head it is only in teh 5th percentile, so don't feel alone.
WOW...he is really tall. Makayla was only like 27 at her 9 month. Makayla wouldn't take rice cereal really well unless it was mixed with breastmilk not formula. Some take to oatmeal better.
