I found your blog via a comment you left on the Cotton Babies website. Just wanted to let you know that I think the picture of Christian pulling out Little Sir the rest of the way is AWESOME! I read some of the same things you did while I was pregnant, and DD was born at home October 29 (a waterbirth, so not very messy :) ). Our babies are about the same age!

You know, I think Asher was so tired from the birth that he slept a lot that first day anyway, so it wasn't really too bad. Also they gave me very detailed instructions both verbally and in written form for me to take home. And I knew we were taking Asher to the pediatrician the next day and the day after that, the midwife came to my house to check on both of us, so I knew that I had tons of help.

I didn't get overwhelmed until the next day when my hormones got whacky, but it didn't last long - I am so blessed that Christian was there the whole time (and still is) so that when we aren't sure what to do we figure it out together. :-)

Such a great story - everything went so perfectly! I loved reading this story. And I can't believe you were home the same day. Did you feel prepared for that? I was totally unprepared.

Jenny, it sounds like you had such an awesome labor experience, and Asher is absolutely perfect. I'm excited to meet him!
